Please do not waste money on new equipment. For a set of weight that is used to pay 10 cents to 50 cents per pound. Remember that muscles do not care if your weight is new, shiny, chrome oxide, used, and cast iron - do not spend money on something new, buy used and save money! It is important to note that there are many different objectives when they are lifting weights. Most of the arguments about what is "best workout plan" result because the people arguing have different priorities in the following training objectives:
◦ Increase strength
◦ Increase impulse of force (jumping / punching / kicking)
◦ Increase muscle mass
◦Lower body fat
Improve coordination ◦
◦ Improve balance
◦ Increase the resistance
◦ Increase flexibility
◦ Minimize the risk of injury
◦ Reduce Stress
◦ Improve vital signs (blood pressure, lipid levels, etc)
◦ Improve sleep patterns
Improve self confidence
