Master Virtual Trainer Wesley Virgin Recommends:

Where do I begin?

My name is Joe Borress, and I’m 40. Recently, I realized that I most likely have 40 years left (at least, let’s hope), and like most of us who are busy with work, soul surfer, family & other obligations I spend more time rushing through a to do list than actually enjoying life.

I needed to change my life course a little and that’s why I started Boardinarylife–I’m doing this for us. That’s right, me and you. I have found a new love for the board: the soul surfer board and the longboard skateboard. Let’s experience this journey together.

Why I Needed A Change…
Like many of you, growing up I was involved in team sports. This all changes as we get older and it’s become nearly impossible to get enough people together for a softball, basketball or soccer game. I needed to find a way to lead an active lifestyle and becoming one of the millions of tread mill or stairmaster zombies at every local gym wasn’t something that appealed to me.

What quickly motivates men and women in the gym..

FOR THE GENTS                    FOR THE LADIES

Wes's Motivation Tecniques

1. There is a technique where you can write down all the things you would like to see as a reward or an incentive for achieving a certain number of home workout spot visits. Incentives are a great way to motivate you to achieve a goal. It may be a simple pampering session or a shopping expedition for a new pair of shoes you have had your eye on. Use your favorite things in life to encourage and keep you motivated to go to the home workout spot.

2. Another technique is to set up a timetable to ensure you have the time to go to the home workout spot and can fit everyday living around your home workout spot activities. This will make you more comfortable about taking the time out to go to the home workout spot knowing you have the time allocated to do the other important things in life.

3. Another way to stay focused is to pick your home workout spot times around work and go on the way home or as soon as you wake up in the morning. This will give you no time to relax and find other things to distract you from your home workout spot workouts.

4. Some people also find it hard to stay focused and motivated when you get to the home workout spot, this can be easily combated. Try listening to your favorite music this will get you pumped and excited about your workout and also get your blood pumping and lift your energy levels. Music is also a great way to distract you and stop the time ticking slowly during your workout at the home workout spot. Make a CD that will go for the exact time your workout will take and once you reach the last song you know your workout is at its end. Another thing to distract you from the time is to place your towel over the timer on the machine you are using and try and place yourself in a corner of the home workout spot where you cannot see a clock.
